Fort Rotterdam is a relic of history Gowa royal glory and the might in the 17th century.  

The fort was built in 1545 by the king of Gowa to IX, I Margau Daeng Bonto Karaeng Lakiung, known by the name Karaeng Turipalangga Ulaweng.
Fort is now exploited by asylum and archaeological heritage, cultural centers and museums Lagaligo.
